Tropical light
I was down in Del Ray a few months back and I was blown away by the colors and the light. I love how the line of this shadow is so sharp and crisp. Cutting across the mint green wall of this house like a knife. The shadow becoming part of the design. I love that idea. Even though these houses where not the poshest places, perhaps a little rundown, I found them to be charming and really dignified in their simplicity. Just sitting there in the sun. Their cool colors and the light of the strong sun contrasting against the color of the car in the driveway or the rug drying out on the chain link fence in front. All of it working together unconsciously to create these real life paintings. They really were beautiful.
